Benchmarking of KINGDOM Advanced Horizon Picking Routines
In an effort to understand the benefits in the SMT Horizon picking routines, all of the horizon picking methods have been employed in a typical interpretation workflow and benchmarked for time and accuracy. The efficiency and accuracy of the various picking methods depends on the data horizon consistency and structural complexity of the geology in the area of interest.
This presentation includes:
- Description of horizon picking approach in a conventional interpretation workflow
- Comparison of Fill, 2D Hunt, 2D Seeker+, 3D Hunt, 3D Seeker, 3D Seeker+
- Introduction of a template describing the most beneficial horizon picking methods depending on the horizon consistency and structural complexity of the geology
