ModPAK®

2D modeling of stratigraphic and structural changes.

In the absence of direct velocity control, KINGDOM’s ModPAK can automatically convert resistivity or density logs to velocity. For simpler models, blocks can be defined with a constant velocity and density. The time-depth function at each well is interpolated to convert the depth section to time before convolution. Modeled traces are calculated using a theoretical or an extracted wavelet.

Benefits

  • Maximize seismic data
  • Increase predictive accuracy
  • Simplify testing and sharing of ideas
  • Improve productivity and workflow

Key Features

  • Interpret surfaces from formation tops or correlate on-the-fly
  • Incorporate depth data including grids and fault cuts
  • Distribute log-based geophysical properties for vertical and deviated boreholes
  • Model faults, channels, pinchouts and facies changes
  • Model onlaps, angular unconformities and reservoir fluid changes
  • Create seismic wavelets that are user defined or derived from the seismic data
  • Automatically convert resistivity or density to velocity when a sonic log is unavailable
  • Overlay real seismic data on the generated traces for comparison
  • Save the generated seismic traces as a new 2D survey in the project for comparison with seismic data
